The LHS Museum is now open for the season - Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 1 to 4pm! We will also continue to be here on Friday mornings, 9am-noon, when our crew of volunteers is busy working on the collection; we're always happy to take a break and show you around. Please join us for our next event - an Artist's open house, happening on Sunday, July 12th from 1 to 4pm. We are featuring local artist CHRIS POLSON.
Maine’s blueberry fields, forests, and waters will be the focus of the exhibition of paintings by Chris Polson. “I really enjoy painting out of doors to get the best chance for seeing colors as they are at any given moment while the sun moves across the sky, “ Polson says. “Lincolnville, where I live, is well represented in this showing of my work.”
There have been numerous exhibitions of Polson‘s work throughout the state over the past 34 years, including a program at the Lincolnville Community Library where he discussed his experiences painting at Baxter State Park and other Northern Maine locations. He was one of the artists who contributed artwork to help raise funds for the purchase and subsequent donation of Katahdin Lake to Baxter State Park.
Hope to see you there!
